PENETRATING VERTEBRAL ARTERY INJURY

Penetrating injuries of the neck are known to have the potential risk of causing vascular injuries. Vertebral artery injury is uncommon since it is deeply situated and the injury may remain unrecognized. The diagnosis of vascular injury requires angiography or magnetic resonance angiography. A case of right vertebral artery penetrating injury caused by stabbing is reported.
