Dokuz Eylül Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi Nöroşirürji Anabilim Dalı This article introduces the reader to some relevant parts of a historical letter written by Mazhar Osman. It was published in the journal titled "İstanbul Seririyatı" in 1950. These sections throw light on some events following a cranial operation performed by Dr. Tuner and the causes of Dr. Dilek's abandonment of duty from Bakırköy hospital. They are of historical documentation, and hence, should be incorporated into the history of Turkish neurosurgery.
