The odontoid process is an important part of the craniocervical junction in terms of stability and range of motion, and odontoid fractures therefore have an important place among cervical fractures. The cause of odontoid fracture is usually high-energy trauma resulting in forceful flexion and/or extension movements. The diagnosis and treatment are important as they can affect all age groups and cause death and serious injuries. The diagnosis and treatment are carried out according to the Anderson and D"Alanso classification, which is the most commonly used classification in practice. Conservative and surgical treatment options are available according to the fracture type. Anahtar Kelimeler : Odontoid fracture, Cervical trauma, Axis
