Most aneurysms are caused by atherosclerosis and their associated risk factors include hypertension, smoking and hypercholesterolemia. Acute chest pain is the major symptom but an atypical clinical presentation can also be seen. Focused history, clinical examination, appropriate diagnostic methods and management are essential for good outcomes. In this paper, a case of acute abdominal aortic dissection mimicking acute low back pain is presented. It is concluded that aortic dissection should be kept in mind in the diff erential diagnosis of atypical low back pain. Anahtar Kelimeler : Abdominal aortic dissection, Low back pain
