¹Gazi Üniversitesi, Tıp Fakültesi, Pediatrik Nöroşirürji Bilim Dalı, Ankara, Türkiye Surgical indications for craniosynostosis are further to cosmetic reasons. Especially for patients with multiple craniofacial malformations and accompanying increased intracranial pressure syndrome, earlier and effective surgical therapy is needed. With a multi-disciplinary experienced surgical team, successful advancement and reconstruction can be provided by occipital cranioplasty with minimal invasive technics. Cranial vault remodelling technics can be compared and developed with controlled trials in future. In this publication, we aim to share our experiences at the Gazi University School of Medicine"s Department of Pediatric Neurosurgery with the guidance of the literature.
