Ankara Hacettepe Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi Nöroloji Anabilim Dalı The diagnostic value of intravenous digital subtraction angiography (IVDSA) in occlusive cerebrovascular disseases has been investigated. The vessels were examined in 20 patients with both IVDSA and selective catheterization using a prototype digital subtraction unit. In 40 % of patients IVDSA was diagnostic. IN 40 %, IVDSA was diagnostic but could not provide detailed information in comparison with selective catheterization. In 15 % of cases, IVDSA was not diagnostic and in 5 %, it produced indennite results. IVDSA was satisfactory for vizulazing the extra cranial vessels and truncal lesions of middle cerebral arteries. Peripheral branches of middle cerebral arteries and posterior cerebral ateries could not be well demonstrated. Anahtar Kelimeler : Angiography, digital subtraction angiography
