Despite technological advances, traumatic brain injury due to motor vehicle accidents still continues to be a common problem. Frequent use of technological devices can result in a sedentary lifestyle and this can lead to various spinal disorders. Developing technology has also resulted in the development of new minimally invasive surgical procedures every day. The long-term possible adverse effects of more intensive exposure to radiation, especially during minimally invasive spinal procedures, has therefore become a current issue. The necessary precautions should be taken in order to avoid possible complications caused by developing technology.
