Technological products and biomedical devices that have become indispensable parts of our daily life can cause undesirable neurosurgical complications. Despite technological advances, traumatic brain injury due to motor vehicle accidents still continues to be a common problem. Frequent use of technological devices can result in a sedentary lifestyle and this can lead to various spinal disorders. Developing technology has also resulted in the development of new minimally invasive surgical procedures every day. The long-term possible adverse effects of more intensive exposure to radiation, especially during minimally invasive spinal procedures, has therefore become a current issue. The necessary precautions should be taken in order to avoid possible complications caused by developing technology.
