SSK Okmeydanı Eğitim Hastanesi, Nöroşirürji Kliniği, İstanbul Spinal intramedullary schwannomas which are known as benign tumors are also rarely seen. Radiological evaluation of these tumors are difficult. Approximately 62 intramedullary spinal cord schwannomas have been reported in the literature. Despite the development in radiodiagnostics tools, it is difficult to distinguish schwannomas from epandimomas and astrocytomas. In this report, we present two cases of spinal intradural intramedullary tumors which were prediagnosed as epandimomas but definitive histopathological diagnosis was schwannoma for both. The management and diagnosis of these cases were evaluated under the light of literature. Anahtar Kelimeler : Schwannoma, spinal cord tumor
