Hacettepe Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi Nöroşirürji Anabilim Dalı One hundred four patients who were diagnosed and treated as AVM in Hacettepe Neurosurgical Clinic has been evaluated. 66.3 percent of the patients were admitted to the hospital with findings related to intracranial bleeding while 20.1 percent had a seizure history. 67.3% of the patients have undergone surgery and 14.2% of them died in the postoperative period. It has been observed that the risk of bleeding is 5 times less in those patients whose AVM had been totally excised.
