Rehabilitation of the Patient with Neurological Injury After Spinal Trauma

Following the injury, many neurological and medical problems occur, and almost all body functions of the patient are affected. In line with the developments in medicine in recent years, the survival rates and lifespan of patients with SCI have increased gradually. The rehabilitation of a person with SCI includes fighting the complications while trying to stabilize the medical condition of the patient. By informing the patient and family about this process, it may be possible to have them adapt to daily life in the best way. Rehabilitation is a life-long process that is implemented with a multidisciplinary team approach and started in the hospital.
