Spontaneous intracranial hemorrhages and hemorrhagic strokes in childhood are not uncommon. Their most common causes are intracranial vascular malformations. These vascular malformations constitute a wide range of diseases and their diagnosis and treatment can be very difficult. Even in centers experienced in vascular surgery, misdiagnosis and therefore wrong treatment rates are high. In planning the diagnosis and treatment of intracranial vascular malformations, a multidisciplinary approach should be ensured between the neurovascular surgery team and the endovascular intervention team, and a common terminology and classification should be used. In this paper, the authors reviewed the major types of intracranial vascular malformations seen in the pediatric population. Along with the current literature findings, the basic knowledge on pediatric intracranial vascular malformations is discussed. Anahtar Kelimeler : Intracranial, Pediatric, Vascular malformation
