The most common of these are Parkinson"s disease, dystonia, and essential tremor. In America and Europe, epilepsy and obsessive-compulsive disorder are the patient groups that are applied DBS. Some of these treatment approaches are also accepted methods in our country and the World. There are many case reports and series in the literature about these diseases, such as depression, substance abuse, Alzheimer"s disease, anorexia nervosa, chronic pain, etc. Some of these studies show promising results but further progress and studies with large case numbers will be more reliable for the clinical use of DBS. In this review, we will briefly talk about these diseases and the approaches. Anahtar Kelimeler : Deep brain stimulation, Depression, Alzheimer"s disease, Addiction, Psychosurgery
