Anterior fossa meningomas can be operated with transcranial microscopic and endoscopic treatment options. The amount of tumor that can be removed during surgery depends on the size of the mass and whether it is attached to the surrounding tissue and vascular structures. The follow-up of the residual mass and the determination of the annual growth rate play an important role in completing the treatment. Anterior fossa surgery has been performed for years. With the development of technology and new treatment methods, success can be achieved in the treatment of residual and recurrent meningiomas. Some meningiomas may recur at different rates and in the early period, depending on the chosen surgical method, the amount of tumor that can be removed, the mitotic index as a result of pathological staging, and the mutations detected as a result of genetic analysis. In the management of recurrence, various treatment methods besides recurrent surgery can be applied according to the general condition of the patient. The recurrence rate is currently decreasing with the contribution of radiotherapy and radiosurgery to tumor treatment. With the acceleration of genetic studies, the effective factors in meningioma recurrence will be detailed and the treatment methods will become different.
