Ankara Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi Radiodiagnostik Anabilim Dalı Many advances have occured in the interventional neuroradiology in recent years. The main concern of interventional neuroradiology is embolization. Particulate or liquid agents are used as embolic agents. Embolization may be used as the definite treatment, as an adjunct to surgery or as a palliative treatment. Embolization is performed in intracranial lesions such as menengiomas, arteriovenous malformations, arteriovenous flstulas and aneurysms and extra cranial lesions such as juvenile angiofibromas and paragangliomas.
