312 cases of intracerebral hematoma are analysed in a retrospective manner. 310 cases had been undergone medical treatment while 2 cases were operated on. After a followup period of three weeks rate of mortality, recovery to normal life and recovery with considerable sequela were found to be 27.6 %,37.8 % and 34.6 % respectively.

It was found that age,sex and site of hematoma had no significant effects on outcome of the patients (p<0.05).On the contrary volume of hematoma, initial level of consdousness and drainage of hematoma into the ventricular cavity were found to have significant effects on the prognosis (p<0.01. p<0.001).

In different clinics and under varying treatment regimes the rate of overall mortality varies between 30-60 %. Anahtar Kelimeler : Intracerebral hematoma, stroke, hemiplegia
