Ninety-four cases applied cranioplasty with three various materials were analysed retrospectively with the object of etiologic factors, cranioplastic material and complications. As a result of analyses, the most frequent complications were infection and host-graft reaction. Consequently, we have the conclusion that, in the reconstruction of uncommon cranial bone defects, autolog grafts kept in the abdominal wall or under the scalp are suitable cranioplasty materials, in the event that these are not obtained, use of acrylic is preferable material.
