Intraventricular tumors generally originate from ependyma, choroid plexsus and rarely from neuronal cells. Neurocytoma is a tumor that originates from neuronal precursors in the periventricular germinal matrix. Commonly, it is situated around the foramen of Momo and is seen in young adults. This tumor which is rarely seen and which has good biological behaviour, has a good prognosis after total (or gross total) resection by surgery. In the histopatological diagnosis, it differs from ependymomas and oligodendrogliomas by further immunohistochemical and ultrastructural investigations. We present an intraventricular central neurocytoma that was evacuated gross totally by surgery. Anahtar Kelimeler : Central neurocytoma, histology, surgery
