A hundred glial tumors, diagnosed between 1991-1996, in our department were examined in this study. The patients age between 3 to 78 years. Male to female ratio was 2/1. Histopathological typing and grading was made according to the WHO (1993) classification. All tumors stained with AgNOR and 55 of them were stained with Ki-67 by immunohistochemical technique, respectively. There was a linear relationship between the patients age and grade of the tumors. Most common grade was 4 in our group. There was a reverse relationship between grade of the glioma and the survival time. There was a reverse relationship between patients' age, mean survival time, 2-years survival ratio. Also there was a statistically significant correlation between grade of the tumor, mean survival time, 2 year survival ratio and AgNOR value and Ki-67 labelling index (Ll). Anahtar Kelimeler : AgNOR, grade, glial tumor, Ki-67
