Çukurova Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi Anesteziyoloji ve Reanimasyon AD, Adana The conventional wisdom that neurosurgical patients experience minimal postoperative pain and require little analgesia has been challenged. However, management of acute postoperative pain after craniotomy remains suboptimal: up to 60% of patients report moderate to extreme pain following neurosurgery. Neurosurgeons and neuroanesthetics must try to reduce the postoperative pain, which may induce postoperative hypertension, restlessness.
