OBJECTIVE: A patient with a history of fractures at maxilla, right orbita and anterior wall of the right frontal sinus due to maxillofacial and head trauma after a motorbike accident when he was 6-years old has been treated with open reduction internal fixation procedure. Three years later he had an epileptic seizure. Examinations revealed frontal intracerebral abscess and erosion at the posterior wall and the basis of the right frontal sinus. During surgery, it was seen that there was a large dura defect, as well. The defect was fixed with galeal frontal myofacial flap and fibrin tissue glue. After 5 years follow-up, there was no sign of cerebrospinal fluid leakage and recurrent infection.

This case report emphasizes the importance of the reconstruction technique by using myofacial flap and fibrin tissue glue for complicated frontal sinus fractures and dura defects. Anahtar Kelimeler : Frontal sinus fracture, Brain abscess, Galeal frontal myofacial flap
