Hacettepe Üniversitesi, Tıp Fakültesi, Nöroşirürji Anabilim Dalı, Ankara, Türkiye Cervical laminoplasty was popularized after eighties. Main indications of the procedure are congenital narrow canal, multilevel spondylotic myelopathy and ossification of posterior longitudinal ligament. A lot of different laminoplasty techniques are defined in the literature. Open door laminoplasty and double door laminoplasty techniques are mostly used ones. Laminoplasty is more frequently used because of relatively fewer complication rate and late results of the technique. Especially range of motion and cervical alignment are the mostly discussed long term results of the laminoplasty. After the laminoplasty operation cervical canal is effectively decompressed. Use of high speed drill and mini plates incresed the quality of the surgery. Anahtar Kelimeler : Cervical laminoplasty, Open door plasty, Double door laminoplasty
