Ankara Numune Eğitim Araştırma Hastanesi, Plastik ve Rekonstrüktif Cerrahi Kliniği, Ankara, Türkiye This study aims to share our outcomes and experiences we acquired in scalp reconstructions performed in our clinic between 2007 and 2012. Reconstruction of scalp defects is a challenging process. Rarely, a defect may be left to heal by secondary intention. Sometimes unfavorable treatments for the defect may result in fatal outcomes. There are many methods for scalp reconstruction each of which has its own advantages and disadvantages. The best method for a scalp defect may inherently contain various disadvantages for another. One should consider a number of factors in choosing the repair method. Factors such as the size and etiology of the defect, the age, general appearance, and medical status of the patient affect repair method. Anahtar Kelimeler : Scalp, Reconstruction, Free flap
