Approach to Frontal Sinus Fractures: Past and Present

Frontal sinus fractures, although not commonly seen, they can be led to serious life-threatening complications. Most of these complications can be prevented if the correct treatment protocol is applied. When the literature review on the treatment of frontal sinus fractures, many different algorithms that created by many authors in own series is seen. These algorithms have a consensus on issues as controversial as the topics. Until the complication rates is reduced to zero, so the debate about what should be the best algorithm and development of treatment modalities will continue to progress. Increase in the skills and knowledge in endoscopic surgery would be open to new horizon to us in the future. Here, common accepted approaches and controversial issues in the treatment of frontal sinus fractures are disscussed in the light of literature review.
