İstanbul Eğitim ve Araştırma Hastanesi, Beyin ve Sinir Cerrahisi Kliniği, İstanbul, Türkiye Cerebellar hemorrhage after supratentorial neurosurgical operations is seen as a rare complication. Remote cerebellar hemorrhage after burr hole drainage as a treatment for chronic subdural hematoma is seen even rarer. A 47-year old male patient was admitted to hospital with severe headache. Right frontoparietal subacute-chronic subdural hematoma was observed in the cranial tomography study. Hemorrhage was drained with two burr-holes. At the third post-operative day the patient had again complications as headache, nausea and vomiting. He didn’t have any neurodeficit. Control cranial tomography showed left cerebellar hemorrhage without a mass or ventricular obstructive effect. He was observed conservatively, and dischraged without a complication. We present a rare case of cerebellar hematoma developed after subacutechronic subdural hematoma treatment with burr hole drainage.
