Özel Park Hastanesi, Beyin ve Sinir Cerrahisi Kliniği, Malatya, Türkiye Congenital scoliosis is the deformity of the spine which is caused due to intrauterine development anomaly of spine. The defects developing during formation and segmentation periods of the spine may cause vertebra anomaly. These defects of vertebra may cause serious deformity and pulmonary problems because of restriction of thorax development in early childhood. Because of serious complications diagnosis and treatment of congenital scoliosis is important. In this paper diagnosis and treatment methods of congenital scoliosis have been discussed.
