The incidence of vascular disorders and cancer in those who live longer thanks to the advances in the field of health care is increasing. Management of central post-stroke pain, associated with vascular diseases seen in the aging population, is a very challenging situation. In patients that cannot be treated via conventional treatment methods, the need for neuromodulation will gradually increase. We, in this article, will mention a brief history and surgical techniques of motor cortex stimulation.
