Tentorial meningiomas comprise 3-5 % of intracranial meningiomas. They can originate from any site of the tentorium and can grow both superiorly and inferiorly. Computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging and angiography are useful in the diagnosis and surgical planning. Subtemporal, suboccipital, retrosigmoid and combined approaches should be used as the surgical approach according to the location and size of the tumor. The main goal of the treatment is total surgical removal. If there is a sinus invasion or cranial nerve involvement, subtotal tumor resection and radiotherapy, if needed, will be an appropriate choice in order to prevent morbidity and mortality.
