Marmara Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi Nöroşirürji Anabilim Dalı Intraventricular meningiomas are rare tumors ,consisting only 0,5-5 % of all intracranial meningiomas. Because of the intraventricular localization and the slow growth rate they may not lead to any symptom for a long time. In this article 8 cases of intraventricular meningiomas are discussed those were treated in Marmara University neurosurgery department. One of them was male and the others were female. Average age is 31. One of the tumors was located in the third ventricle and the others were all located in the trigon of the right lateral ventricle. All tümörs were excised totally. One patient died and one had permanent hemiparesis. Other patients didn't have an additional postoperative deficits. Third ventricular tumor was operated on via transcallosal route while the others were via transcortical incisions. In this article, treatment of the intaventricular meningiomas and the operative approaches are discussed. As a result intraventricular meningiomas are benign lesions and first treatment choice is surgical excision. Anahtar Kelimeler : Intraventricular, meningioma, transcallosal, transcortical
