Fırat Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi Nöroşirürji Anabilim Dalı, Elazığ Pneumocephalus is accompained approximately 20% of traumatic cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) leaks and may develop after lumbar puncture or continuos spinal drainage in patients with CSF leakage. Symptoms and signs of increased intracranial pressure occured after lumber puncture in a patient with traumatic rhinorrhea. Symptoms of the patient improved after draining the tension pneumocephalus causing cerebral compression. Increase of evident pneumocephalus after lumbar puncture in CSF leakage was stressed through this case.
