OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the long term outcome of anterior cervical revisional surgery for degenerative cervical spinal disorders.

METHODS: 42 of 642 patients operated for degenerative cervical spinal disorders underwent revisional surgery between 1988 and 2003 were included in the study. Due to the first operation technique, cases were evaluated in three groups: 1) Simple discectomy group, 2) Cloward procedure group, 3) Anterior cervical dicectomy and fusion with cage group. Time of revisional surgery, ratio of revisions to the previous operations in each group and outcomes of revisional surgery were studied.

RESULTS: Revision ratio in cage group is less than the others.

CONCLUSION: Regarding these results anterior cervical discectomy and fusion with cage for degenerative cervical spinal disorders is our technique of choice. Anahtar Kelimeler : Anterior cervical discectomy, Revisional surgery, Degenerative cervical spinal disorders
