Percutaneous Stereotactic Pain Procedures

Technical details, results and value of the procedures were also discussed.

MATERIAL and METHODS: Stereotactic destructive CT-guided cordotomy, extralemniscal myelotomy and trigeminal tractotomy-nucleotomy procedures performed between the years 1986-2014 were described and presented.

RESULTS: CT-guided cordotomy was performed on 224 patients, extralemniscal myelotomy on 19 patients and trigeminal tractotomynucleotomy on 81 patients between the years 1986 and 2014.

CONCLUSION: No mortality was seen. Infection was not seen. Temporary cerebellar dysfunctions occurred in some cordotomy patients. Anahtar Kelimeler : Intractable pain, Pain surgery, CT guidance, Destructive procedures, Cancer patients
