Acıbadem Üniversitesi, Radyoloji Anabilim Dalı, İstanbul, Türkiye Schwannomas are included in the group of benign nerve sheath tumors and can be seen in many parts of the body centrally or peripherally. They are mostly sporadical but sometimes they arise in genetic tumor predisposition syndromes. Morphological and radiological findings of schwannomas may vary depending on their location. Schwannomas may also show different radiological findings depending on the different histopathological features. In this article, we explain various imaging modality findings and their advantages that can help the diagnosis of schwannomas depending on the location and the histological subgroup.
