It often affects the male population. While the venous system is often affected, the arterial system is rarely affected. Neurological involvement is very rare and can be the first symptom in 3% of the patients. Cerebral aneurysm formation is a rare finding but can cause life-threatening conditions. Aneurysm formation is often seen in the anterior circulation. Treatment of aneurysms in Behçet Disease depends on the location, size and whether the aneurysm has ruptured or not.
In this report, we present a case of unruptured middle cerebral artery bifurcation aneurysm associated with Behçet disease that was treated by using a novel intra-aneurysmal flow diverter (The Woven EndoBridge Cerebral Aneurysm Embolization Device) for the first time in the literature, and discuss the main features of the management with the relevant literature.
