Hacettepe Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi Nöroşirürji Anabilim Dalı, Ankara In this article, a detailed retrospective analysis of 61 spinal canal meningioma cases operated on in the Department of Neurosurgery of Hacettepe Medical school between 1966 and 1988 was undertaken. The influence of various factors upon prognosis and postoperative complication were evaluated. Results were compared with previous data in the literature and the advantages of microsurgical technique in spinal canal surgery is stressed.
