Endoscopic Ventricular Surgery Anatomy
1Gazi Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi Hastanesi, Pediatrik Nöroşirürji Bilim Dalı, Ankara, Türkiye
The lateral ventricles and the third ventricle are corridors that are difficult to access due to their proximity to important structures and
their deep location in the middle of the brain. Endoscopy, on the other hand, is a popular method with increasing advantages and
provides patients with a better quality of life. As ventricles are important connection junctions that are adjacent to critical structures
and have a close relationship with the deep venous system and many arterial structures, their anatomy should be well known in
order to achieve successful results during surgical intervention. In this section, we aimed to provide information about various intraventricular
indications of endoscopy and the anatomy of the lateral and third ventricles, and technical information on endoscopic
surgery.
