Defining two different and communicating lymphatic systems, which we did not even know existed in the brain, has been a revolutionary development in changing our knowledge. The gaps in how a number of molecules are transported and how they relate to the immune system are now being filled. Important information has been shared on the explanation of immunological mechanisms in traumatic brain injury (TBI), whose course and outcomes are very variable, with neuroimmunology studies conducted on TBI models in the literature. Information on neuroimmunology and its behavior in trauma will be discussed together with the current literature in this article.
