²Hacettepe Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi Radyoloji Anabilim Dalı Pineal region tumors constitute 0.4-1% of all intracranial tumors. Between 1974 and 1990, 8 pineal region astrocytoma cases had been treated in our department. All patients underwent surgical intervention and postoperative radiotherapy. Major complaints were headache, nausea and vomiting. On neurological examination papilledema and hemiparesis could be found frequently. In these cases one should decompress tumoral mass and obtain adequate cerebrospinal fluid circulation. Anahtar Kelimeler : Corpus pineale, Pineal astrocytoma
