The mortality rate was found significantly high in the patients with low Glasgow Coma Score (GCS). In contrary no significant difference was found between the GCS 6-8 group and the GCS 3-5 group.
Initial high ICP levels were assodated with high mortality rate. ICP levels showed no significant difference between the group with surgical lesions detected on CT and the negative CT group.
Mortality rate was 43.33 percent in the monitored group and 63.33 percent in nonmonitored group and the difference between them was not significant Mean ICP levels in the patients who improved clinically showed a decrease approximately 40 percent In conclusion, since a dedsion in the management based on ICP monitoring might be inefficient, we suppose that one must consider the clinical and neuroradiological signs carefully.
