However, increasing budget constraints make it necessary to consider not only clinical effectiveness but also cost effectiveness in medical decision-making. The aim of this study is to conduct a systematic review on the cost-effectiveness of the DBS method in the treatment of PH. 12 articles selected according to PICOS criteria compare the DBS method with medication and medical device-assisted therapies (CDT). The majority of studies show that the additional cost-effectiveness ratio of DBS per QALY (Quality Adjusted Life Years) is below the threshold value. DBS treatment has a higher quality of life value compared to Medical Treatment (TT), but a lower quality of life value compared to other CDT. DBS is more costly than TT and more convenient than CDT. Additionally, sensitivity analyzes determined that battery life has a significant impact on maintaining the cost-effectiveness of DBS. In conclusion; DBS is more cost effective compared to TT. However, the scarcity of CDT studies makes it difficult to compare the three methods. Therefore, further research by impartial institutions is recommended.
