MATERIAL and METHODS: In our single-center retrospective study, demographic data of 91 glioma patients operated in our center between January 2019 and December 2021 were collected, and the relationship between IDH-1 mutations, progression-free survival and grades, and inflammatory blood parameters calculated from hemogram and biochemistry values in peripheral blood were associated using logistic regression and cox regression.

RESULTS: Increases in age, serum immune-inflammation index, neutrophil/lymphocyte ratio, and platelet/lymphocyte ratio were found in favor of high-grade glioma and decreases in these values were associated with IDH-1 mutation. Increases in albumin/ globulin ratio were in favor of low-grade glioma. Younger age, gross-total resection, and higher lymphocyte/monocyte ratio values were associated with longer progression-free survival.

CONCLUSION: Due to their cost-effectiveness and easy availability, peripheral blood parameters can be used as useful markers to predict glioma prognosis and progression. Anahtar Kelimeler : İnflammation, Glioma, Neutrophil/lymphocyte ratio, Serum immune-inflammation index, Prognosis
