POSTERIOR INTERNAL PLATE - SCREW FIXATION IN CERVICAL TRAUMA PATIENTS

2Marmara Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi Nöroşirürji A.B.D., İstanbul In this study, we report the use of plate-screw fixation and autogenous bone graft, for the posterior stabilization of the cervical spine. Detailed surgical technique and application of the plate-screw system are described. We present three cases of cervical trauma treated with plate screw fixation and discuss the advantages of this technique when compared to other surgical procedures.
