All nine cases were paranasal sinus carcinomas. Transfacial intervention was also performed. Extended frontal intervention is a modified type of transbasal approach described by Derome. In this technique orbital osteotomy is combined with bifrontal craniotomy. In maxillectomized cases the cavity is filled with synthetic material at the same session.
