The accessibility and affectability of the neuron body which is situated in eye globe are reasons for selections in regeneration experiments. The environment which influence the regenerative capacity of the neuron is also easily investigated in optic nerve model. The environment has been changed in order to search the effects of different factors. The results collected would promote the future experiments in other parts of Central Nervous System. In 12 rats, axonal injury has been done by cutting the optic nerve and regeneration has been induced by grafting sciatic nerve. Regeneration has been detected in 1.02% of cells.
