Angiolipomas are benign tumors which usually arise from subcutaneous tissue, but they do occur rarely in the spinal canal. In most of reported 81 cases, tumors arise in the thoracic spine and are localized at the posterolateral region of the spinal canal. Most cases present with slowly progressive signs and symptoms of cord compression. Rarely, rapid neurological deterioration due to acute haemorrhage into the tumor or venous thrombosis has been reported. Three cases with spinal epidural angiolipomas were presented. In two of them, the tumors were typically localized in the thoracic levels and posterolateral region of the canal. But, one of them had presented with rapid neurological deterioration due to intratumoral hemorrhage. In the other patient, tumor was located in the sacral level and anterolateral region of the spinal canal and the patient had presented with signs and sypmtoms mimicking lumbar disc hernia.
