Methods: Manual intrathecal drug pumps have been applied to three patients having total spinal cord lesion and followed for average 46 months. Medical records of the patients have been reviewed retrospectively.

Results: Spasticity with spinal origin, which had not been controlled with oral baclofen treatment before, in patient one and two has been controlled for 66 months and 62 months respectively until the pumps were removed because of infection. Dose regulation has been continuing in the last patient with total cervical spinal cord lesion.

Conclusions: In case of spasticity control, intrathecal administered baclofen has significant superiorities when compared with oral baclofen. The pump used in the study has been assessed as having disadvantages in terms of risk of infection, dose regulation and treatment efficiency. Anahtar Kelimeler : Baclofen, intrathecal, spasticity
