Ümraniye Eğitim ve Araştırma Hastanesi, Nöroşirürji Kliniği, İstanbul, Türkiye
Cervical keyhole foraminotomy is indicated for the treatment of nerve root
compression secondary to posterolateral disc herniation or spondylotic foraminal
stenosis. It is proper for cases with normal cervical aligenement and in cases who can
be decompressed with foraminotomy. However, a successful foraminotomy requires
knowledge about the three dimensional anatomy of the cervical neural foramen. In
this study, technical aspects of this technique is reviewed.
