Eskişehir Osmangazi Üniversitesi, Nöroşirürji Anabilim Dalı, Eskişehir, Türkiye Minimally invasive spine surgery for arthrodesis has several advantages, including decreased blood loss, decreased operating time, lower risk of intraoperative complications, earlier mobilization with less pain, earlier discharge, and earlier return to work, less postoperative pain, and less destruction of adjacent tissue. The purpose of this paper is evaluate to an overview of the minimally invasive transforaminal lumbar interbody fusion (TLIF) procedure including indications, technique, and complications. Transforaminal lumbar interbody fusion (TLIF) is an alternative technique that is used to archive disc resection, neural decompression and circumferential arthrodesis in the lumbar spine. The posterolateral approach of TLIF is familiar to most neurosurgeons and offers several advantages compared with PLIF and ALIF. The TLIF procedure can be safely and effectively performed in selected patients. Anahtar Kelimeler : TLIF, Degenerative disc disease, Fusion, Surgical technique
