S.B. İzmir Atatürk Eğitim ve Araştırma Hastanesi, Nöroşirürji Bölümü, İzmir, Türkiye Glioblastoma multiforme (GBM) is the most common and most malignant primary brain tumor in adults. Cerebrospinal fluid seeding is observed in approximately 15-25% of cases of supratentorial GBM. Spinal metastasis from GBM has rarely been reported in the literature and prognosis is poor. We report the case of a 29-year-old man affected by a GBM who had a symptomatic thoracic spinal cord metastasis without any cranial relaps after surgery of intracranial GBM and brain radiotheraphy and chemotherapy (temozolomide). Our case is one of the few in the literature where a primary GBM presented with symptomatic spinal metastasis in the absence of intracranial relaps. Cases of GBM with low back-back-neck pain, leg-arm pain or extremity weakness signs should case clinicians to investigate spinal metastasis.
