These disorders include traumatic lesions of the soft tissues and bones, Freiberg infarction, infection, arthritis, tendon disorders, nonneoplastic soft tissue disorders (eg, anterolateral impingement syndrome, sinus tarsi syndrome, compressive neuropathies [tarsal tunnel syndrome, Morton neuroma], synovial disorders) and, less frequently, soft tissue and bone neoplasms. A fifty-fouryear- old female patient developed tarsal tunnel syndrome(TTS) and Morton neuroma. The patient was operated on and TTS decompression and neuroma resection were performed. The clinical and electrophysiological findings and MR imaging provides the necessary clues to obtain a correct diagnosis and differentiate the disorder from other more common causes of foot and ankle pain and paresthesias.
