Multiple Meningiomas
S.B. Ankara Numune Hastanesi, Beyin ve Sinir Cerrahisi Kliniği, Ankara, Türkiye
Multiple meningiomas are rare and represent 5-10% of all intracranial meningiomas. The development of these lesions is not fully explained
and many environmental and genetic factors may play a role in the progression of this lesions. There are some differences regarding treatment
methods when they are compared with singular meningiomas. Surgical treatments can include staged interventions depending on the case
and the treatment of the clinically active lesion should be addressed as a priority. The follow-up of remaining lesions should be carefully done.
The prognosis of multiple meningiomas is almost the same as singular ones.
